Check Facebook, Twitter, or whatever your social media poison is anytime between Christmas and Valentine's Day, and the news feed is likely to be smattered with engagement announcements. Maybe you just had a relationship status change of your own? If so, then know this: having a wedding is fun, but the honeymoon is by far the best part of getting married. Planning on blowing some serious cash? Check out these favorite honeymoon escapes of the stars (and though most of these marriages are now defunct, the resorts are still fabulous).
Caribbean
The Caribbean, and really the beach in general, is a perennial favorite of honeymooners. Cap Juluca, on the island of Anguilla, gets most of the A-list love, and rightly so. Every room (and villa) on the property is beachfront, so you're guaranteed to enjoy your complimentary continental breakfast, delivered daily to your room, with an ocean view. Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards honeymooned here, as did Courteney Cox and David Arquette (who also spent time at La Samanna on St. Martin, just an island-hop away).
More recently, however, Viceroy Anguilla lured honeymooners Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr. Their $4,500-per-night villa was complete with a private pool, cabana, and butler. Also in the Caribbean, Parrot Cay on the Turks and Caicos islands was the site of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's wedding, plus the honeymoon spot for Eva Longoria and Tony Parker. Rooms start at $544 a night.

Seychelles
Looking at photos of the Seychelles islands, there are 115 of them, one might be tempted to think it's a Caribbean locale. But this archipelago is situated in the Indian Ocean, some 900 miles east of Africa. This remote outpost was just what the "it couple" of 2000, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, needed for their honeymoon. More recently, the newest "it couple," Kate and William, er, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, rented an entire island here for their super-private honeymoon.

United States
Some celebrities choose to stay stateside for their honeymoon escape. Popular close-to-home spots include Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain in Arizona, honeymoon site for recent parents Jay-Z and Beyonce, and the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, where John and Jackie Kennedy honeymooned in 1953. More recent guests at the luxury resort, a former citrus ranch, include Julia Roberts and Danny Moder, Sandra Bullock and Jesse James, and Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. Hawaii, though a bit further afield, is a timeless choice, part of the reason Bill Gates reportedly shelled out a million dollars when he wed Melinda French at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay in 1994.
Other celeb favorites for a romantic getaway include:
Maldives: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel and Fergie, Katy Perry and Russell Brand (the latest celeb couple to split)
Bora Bora and Tahiti: Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fischer, Christina Applegate and Johnathon Schaech, Alyssa Milano and David Bugliari
Fiji: Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline
Mexico: Eli Manning and Abby McGrew, Gweyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin
Italy: Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt
